Shipping Policy

At Akarshini, every item is handmade with care in India and shipped worldwide. To give our customers complete clarity, this Shipping Policy sets out our official timelines for order cut-off, processing & handling, transit time, and total delivery time. It also explains shipping costs, tracking, duties, and possible delays.

1. Order Cut-off Time

Orders placed before 2:00 PM (PST) are processed on the same business day.
Orders placed after 2:00 PM (PST) are treated as received on the following business day.

All processing and shipping activities are carried out from Monday to Saturday, excluding Sundays and public holidays. Orders received during weekends or public holidays will begin processing on the next working day.

2. Processing & Handling Time

Before an order is dispatched, it goes through several preparation steps:

  • Order confirmation and payment verification
  • Product finishing and quality inspection
  • Secure packaging to protect the item during transit
  • Arranging pickup with the carrier

The standard processing & handling time is 2 to 7 business days from the date of order confirmation. This time applies to all orders, regardless of the shipping destination or service level selected.

During peak seasons such as holidays, festive sales, or special promotions, processing may take slightly longer due to increased demand.

3. Transit Time (Shipping Duration)

Transit time begins once the order has been handed over to the carrier. This is the period required for delivery to the customer and varies by destination:

India

  • Standard Shipping: 7–14 business days
  • Express Shipping: 3–5 business days

United States

  • Standard Shipping: 7–14 business days
  • Express Shipping: 3–5 business days

Worldwide (apart from India and the United States)

  • Standard Shipping: 10–21 business days
  • Express Shipping: 5–10 business days

4. Total Delivery Time

The total delivery time is calculated as:

Processing & Handling Time (2–7 business days) + Transit Time (depending on the shipping method and destination).

5. Shipping Charges

We apply flat-rate shipping charges per order, regardless of the number of items purchased.

  • India: ₹499 (Standard), ₹1,499 (Express)
  • United States: $8.99 (Standard), $29.00 (Express)
  • Worldwide (apart from India and USA): $8.99 (Standard), $29.00 (Express)

6. Tracking Information

All orders are shipped with tracking. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email containing:

  • The carrier’s name
  • A tracking number
  • A direct tracking link

7. Taxes and Duties

  • India: All prices displayed include Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • United States & Worldwide: Import duties, customs charges, VAT, or other local taxes are not included in the product price or shipping fee. These charges are determined by the authorities in the destination country and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Customers are encouraged to check with their local customs office before placing an order to understand any potential additional costs.

8. Service Limitations

While Akarshini partners with reliable shipping carriers, certain circumstances may cause unavoidable delays, including but not limited to:

  • Customs clearance procedures in the destination country
  • Local courier capacity and service disruptions
  • Weather conditions and natural events
  • Seasonal demand peaks such as holidays

In such situations, Akarshini cannot be held liable for late delivery. We recommend that customers allow extra time during peak shipping periods.
